Music & More Series
Matt Edwards & Buck2Fifty February 24th
Mardi Gras comes to Oldcastle
Join us as we bring New Orleans sounds to downtown Bennington. Matt and his group will have the audience up off their feet, and dancing in the aisle as he and his band got the place jumping with his New Orleans style Jazz. If you missed it last year, don’t make the same mistake again. Tickets are just $25 for Adults $12 Students
Highlights of the “Follow the Lied” program will include Schubert’s music for voice, french horn, violin, cello and piano, as well as two modern works based on the music of Schubert–”but time will tell,” a piece for solo piano by Heidi Jacob (composer, cellist, and conductor Jacob is Associate Professor of Music at Haverford College); and “November 19, 1828,” a work for piano, violin, viola and cello by well-known Boston composer John Harbison.
The performers will be Ida Faiella, Soprano; Charles Abramovic, Piano; Joseph Anderer, French Horn; Dale Stuckenbruck, Violin; and Jesse Levy, Cello. This marks a L’Ensemble debut for Anderer, who is the Principal Horn of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra
Tickets for the two-concert series are $40, with individual concert tickets priced at $25 and $10 for students. Tickets are available at www.oldcastletheatre.org or by calling (802) 447-0564.
